REMSOIL® is a biological soil remediation method that utilizes nature’s own method to recover and repair: microbial activity.
Disposal of contaminated soils is becoming harder every year. Meanwhile, agriculture produces a massive amount of animal and plant derived organic by-products. New and innovative ways to utilize the by-products and process contaminated soil are in great demand.
Remsoil Oy connected these two and used the agriculture’s by-products to create a soil remediation additive that includes all the important nutrients for microbes. REMSOIL® stimulates soil’s own microbial activity accelerates the natural degradation process of oils and PAH-compounds. It can be used effectively on properties that are contaminated by oil-compounds, such as scrap yards and gas and service stations.
One product answers two circular economy challenges: it naturally advances the degrading of contaminants in soil and returns abattoir waste back to nature’s circulation.
Ingredients from Finnish agriculture
REMSOIL® contains only ingredients of organic by-products from Finnish farms and is completely dust and odour free.
Accelerated contaminant degradation
The natural nutrients in REMSOIL® stimulate the microbial activity of soil and accelerate the degradation of harmful substances.
In 2 months, up to 70 % of oil is degraded.
Naturally oil is degraded by 5–10 % in two months. Our research showed that with REMSOIL®, oil degrades by 70 % in same time.
